Hi my friends!
Well a new year always feels good to me. I always feel the need to refresh and to clean out old unused items such as in my closets, drawers and even the studio.
It is a time of renewal for me, and a new start.
This year I aim to be concentrating on my mixed media paintings and prints. I love combining materials and it's always exciting and experimental.
Also I have a couple of printmaking workshops in March 2024 that are for the beginner to introduce my techniques. Other workshops are available during the week of March 18th-24th with other members of the 10 O'clock Club which are about 20 women artists who meet every month on the 10th at 10 to exchange ideas, discuss work and just fellowship and plan shows and events.
Another new adventure is that I will be teaching at Cruces Creatives again. I am scheduled to teach a Basics of Drawing and Painting class that will begin on Jan 10th and will run for at least 4 weeks, every Wed in that month. I know some of you want to learn how to sketch and paint and his will be a great way to get introduced to ways to approach the blank page. No previous knowledge required.
I hope you all have a wonderful New Year and I hope to see you! Once again this February the town of Las Cruces is celebrating For the Love of Art month with our open studios and other art events going on.
