Well what's better than springtime after a long cold winter, right? Things seem to be happening left and right here at Blackbird Studio in Las Cruces aside from fantastic weather.
I was recently admitted into the Mesilla Valley Fine Arts Gallery in our historic district which I am really looking forward to and will be hanging my work there next month Also the next Studio Tour and demonstrations will be for Print Day in May which is May 6th from 11-5pm. The latest issue of The Ink has the current ad for it. I had a great turnout last year and everyone had a good time. If you're local put it on your calendar. Each artist is showing a different technique at 4 different locations. Also in the month of May is the annual Printmaking Show at Gallery 925 on Mesquite Street where I'll have 2 pieces.
Another new development is that we have converted our rental home (which is right next door to us) to be an AirB&B vacation rental. It's really cute inside and has a private courtyard for your pet when you travel (as some of you know, we are very dog friendly) so think of that if you have friends or family that might be visiting the town of Las Cruces.
